Express Gold Cash Review
These reviews are based on our personal experiences with the individual cash for gold companies and our rating reflects our feelings regarding our transactions with them. Your experience with the gold refiner/dealer may fare better or worse. But we always try to give the most accurate representation of what you are likely to find.
It is always a good idea to do your own research and find the company that works for you. We do these reviews because it is important for anyone looking to sell their gold to understand that very few online gold buyers will actually give you what your gold is worth. You would be surprised how many cash for gold businesses payout less than half the current price of gold. And not everyone has the time to properly look through and research the hundreds of gold buyers that are out there today. We hope these reviews will give you an idea of what to expect and will help you to make a wise decision.
Express Gold Cash Review
Turn Around Time:
Express Gold Cash is another company that claims to be ranked #1 while offering you more cash for your gold. This company has been around since 1998 and they buy gold, silver, and platinum. Express Gold Cash has an A+ rating from the BBB, and has received no complaints in the past 3 years.
Like most gold buying companies out there, Express Gold Cash claims to pay more than the rest of their competitors. Although they say they pay the highest, the chart on their website indicates a very average payout. Somewhere around 70% of your gold’s value is the most you’re going to get from Express Gold Cash, but under an ounce it is much less. They also promote how they are independently ranked #1, but they haven’t received this claim from a credible source.
One good thing about Express Gold Cash was their overall customer service and satisfaction. They have really great shipping insurance offering $5,000 on any order and up to $100,000 on larger orders by request. They ensure satisfaction by offering a 30-day money back guarantee plus a $20 check on top of that. However if you elect the Paypal or Direct deposit payment methods, you waive the 30-day guarantee.
After testing them, we concluded their chart was pretty accurate but their offer just wasn’t impressive. We decided to send in a few pieces of scrap gold with a value of around $607 after receiving the requested shipping material. After 5 days we received a check in the mail for $376. The offer was consistent with the estimations on their chart, but there are still a number of places that offer much higher.
