How To Sell Gold

GoldFellow Review

 |  by Zachary Callahan

*These reviews are based on our personal experiences with the individual cash for gold companies and our rating reflects our feelings regarding our transactions with them. Your experience with the gold refiner/dealer may fare better or worse. But we always try to give the most accurate representation of what you are likely to find.

It is always a good idea to do your own research and find the company that works for you. We do these reviews because it is important for anyone looking to sell their gold to understand that very few online gold buyers will actually give you what your gold is worth. You would be surprised how many cash for gold businesses payout less than half the current price of gold. And not everyone has the time to properly look through and research the hundreds of gold buyers that are out there today. We hope these reviews will give you an idea of what to expect and will help you to make a wise decision.

Overall:

We learned about this relative new comer to online gold buying game recently and just had to try them since they claim to have the best payouts in the business. GoldFellow has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau with no outstanding complaints.

We found Gold Fellow to be fairly similar to Empire Gold Buyers in their pricing structure (except much lower) and shipping practices. Which means that they offer free FedEx shipping but their pricing scale goes from 56% to 77% instead of starting above 90% and going all the way up to 98% like Empire Gold Buyers. Also GoldFellow doesn’t offer as much shipping insurance (up to $1000) and their pay scale doesn’t go as high as for large volume customers.

We liked that you could view their offer as soon as they received your gold by logging onto their site. And because they use Federal Express shipping you can track your package along the way.

Overall we did like Gold Fellow quite a bit. If  their pay scale was higher and we hadn’t already found better refiners, we would use them again.

Sell Your Gold Without Getting Ripped Off

Just about everyone has tough financial times at some point in their life.  And hard times are even more likely to arise with a bad economy.  Maybe you’re a student with a extremely tight budget who barely has enough money for food; let alone books and other college expenses.  Or maybe you’re a single mother who is working two jobs just to stay afloat. Or maybe you’ve just been laid… more

Avoiding Cash For Gold Scams

With a rough economy like today’s, many folks turn to alternative ways of making money. One of these ways is selling your gold for cash.  Consumers think that with the price of gold as high as it is today that selling off their old gold jewelry is a good idea.  Unfortunately, it is not that easy to get the actual value of your gold items.  There are many companies out there… more

Sell Your Gold Review

As a company that has only been around for a few years, Sell Your Gold seems like just another of the many new gold buyers that continuously pop up in this growing field. But actually they are owned and operated by John Galt Refining which has close to 50 years of gold buying experience […]

Gold Pawnshop Review

GoldPawnShop is a Georgia based gold buyer that has been around since 2007. They have a BBB rating of B+ although their accreditation expired in April. But they have had no complaints through the Better Business Bureau. As a new gold buyer offering a “minimum of 5% more than our competition with absolutely no hidden fees or costs” we had to try them out […]
