How To Sell Gold

GoldPal USA Review

 |  by Zachary Callahan

*These reviews are based on our personal experiences with the individual cash for gold companies and our rating reflects our feelings regarding our transactions with them. Your experience with the gold refiner/dealer may fare better or worse. But we always try to give the most accurate representation of what you are likely to find.

It is always a good idea to do your own research and find the company that works for you. We do these reviews because it is important for anyone looking to sell their gold to understand that very few online gold buyers will actually give you what your gold is worth. You would be surprised how many cash for gold businesses payout less than half the current price of gold. And not everyone has the time to properly look through and research the hundreds of gold buyers that are out there today. We hope these reviews will give you an idea of what to expect and will help you to make a wise decision.

GoldPal USA Review

Overall:

GoldPal USA has been around since 2009 and they claim to be the faster, safer, and most rewarding way to sell gold online. They are not accredited by the Better Business Bureau, which is typically something you should avoid when selling gold online. GoldPal offers to buy your unwanted gold, silver, platinum and diamonds, and they even claim to offer you the highest payout.

Most online buyers claim to pay more than the rest of their competitors; this is actually very common in the gold business. GoldPal says they pay the highest, yet the pricing chart lists they have a less than average pricing scale. The average transaction will receive 50% of the gold’s actual value, which is unacceptable. However they do pay more on larger quantities, but the most you’ll get from these guys is about 70%, which is still low.

Goldpal also makes a claim to be the safer gold buyer, but they only offer up to $1000 in shipping insurance. Their turnaround time is pretty slow; it took over a week to get a check from GoldPal. They offer a 14-day money back guarantee which is a pretty short time considering is 14 days from the date on the check. And if you choose the FastCash option you waive your guarantee.

They also claim that selling gold helps the environment, which is a very unique concept for a gold buyer. They claim when you sell gold to GoldPal, they will plant a tree in your honor as a part of their “ReLeaf iniciative.” So if you don’t care about a fairly low payout, you can have the satisfaction of helping to make a greener planet (if they actually plant the tree; we had no way of  knowing for sure).
